Attorney Profile

Matthew Marzak

CIVIL LITIGATION

Attorney Matthew Marzak knew he wanted to pursue a career in law after witnessing many injustices take place around him. Matthew experienced people in his life get cheated by insurance companies and big businesses, and was always outraged while watching cops on TV treat people unjustly. Motivated by a desire to stand up for the wrongly accused and injured, Matthew obtained his J.D. at Texas Southern University.

During law school, Matthew interned at one of Texas’s premier law firms, Abraham Watkins. He also interned at Tribble & Ross, where he was offered an Associate Attorney position and practiced insurance defense.

Matthew now practices civil law at Maverick Ray & Associates, having helped grow the firm from just a single client to a multi-million-dollar practice.

Although insurance companies and big businesses always seem to have the upper hand, Matthew sees his job as trying to level the playing field. His maxim: “Fight for the People … And Justice For All.”

Matthew enjoys hunting, fishing, backpacking, and camping in national parks. He is also an avid fan of Baylor athletics, having played rugby at Baylor as an undergraduate. He has also served in the United States Marine Corps.
